As well as growing Black Wattle in our own forests, TANAC also invests in expanding the cultivation of Black Wattle in its communities through its Forestry Development Program with farmers.
The program provides assistance from TANAC’s Raw Materials department throughout the growth cycle of Black Wattle.
Those taking part in the program get various benefits:
- Tanac guarantees to buy the wood and bark of the Black Wattle that they produce;
- Supplies seedlings, fertilizer, general supplies etc.;
- Top Quality Technical Support on Forestry.
- Management and monitoring of the local fauna and flora.
Currently, the program involves around 30,000 families in Rio Grande do Sul, which currently has 90,000 hectares of Black Wattle forest.
