For over 70 years, TANAC has believed in a balance between using and preserving natural resources.
Based on using raw materials from renewable sources, the company which was created in 1948 has become the world leader in producing plant extracts and Black Wattle chips and pellets. It is now considered one of the thousand largest companies in Brazil, according to Valor Econômico and Exame magazines.
We are world renowned for sustainability and are considered the largest producer of Black Wattle trees in the world. Our work involves thousands of families in Rio Grande do Sul and we have planted more than 55 million trees.
TANAC’s products are sold in over 70 countries on every continent. We contribute to various industries and applications that affect daily life: shoes, cars, food, paper and renewable energy among others.
Over one thousand five hundred staff in our premises apply the basic principle of sustainable production every day. But any assessment of our growth would not be complete without including the economic and social development of our communities.
How serious we take this and the excellence we achieve is demonstrated by the environmental and quality certifications that we have been awarded.
For us, thinking about nature and people is the key to the future.
