WWF-Brazil launches, in a partnership with the company TANAC/TANAGRO a factsheet clarifying how the project “Management, conservation and restoration of forests in the Atlantic Forest biome” works, which since 2016 unites both institutions. The aim of the partnership is to conserve biodiversity and promote the sustainable use of the Atlantic Forest’s natural resources, one of the world’s most important biomes.

Effective for three years, the cooperation began with a process of mapping priority areas for the conservation of the Atlantic Forest present in 5 districts of the southern half of Rio Grande do Sul, a region of the company’s forest plantations and geographical scope of the partnership. From these studies, opportunities for the development of actions, that include sharing of good practices and activities of environmental conservation aimed at Black Acacia producers for this focus region, are being developed.
