Tanfloc SG is awarded with the Campeador Trophy at Expodireto through the work of Professor Arci Dirceu Wastowski of UFSM in partnership with TANAC

On March 10th, the first edition of delivery the Campeador Trophy by RBS TV happened during Expodireto. The trophy is given to researchers and leaders whose work strengthens the agribusiness sector, contributing to the growth of Rio Grande do Sul.

The first edition of the award had eight winners, by research productions, technology, management, besides community and leadership, indicated by ten institutions related to agriculture and livestock and evaluated by an expert jury. The main evaluation criteria of the jurors were social and economic contribution, sustainability, environmental preservation and originality.

The professor Arci Dirceu Wastowski of Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) and who works on the city of Frederico Westphalen, received the Campeador Trophy for his 3-year research aimed at reducing water consumption in pig farming. The study showed that each swine produces an average of 8 liters of waste per day. With the application of Tanfloc SG is possible to reduce this volume by half, given that the water is separated, cleaned and can be reused in the property. The mixture of Tanfloc SG in the organic waste, promotes the segregation of the water allowing the reuse. The research challenge now is to convince farmers to invest in product application and also in the construction of a collector that serves to house the clean water during the process for reuse. Upon receiving the trophy, Professor Arci thanked TANAC by the support to the research.
